Big Old Turtle

On my way to pick Doug up from school, I notices something moving in the road as I drove through the Vineyards. I thought maybe it was a leaf from a palm tree that had fallen our something but then remembered I've seen things in this area before so I better slow down. Sure enough I slowed down to find a huge turtle crossing the road. I think the other cars behind me were confused but soon saw what I found. Thank heavens the cars in the lane stopped too or they could have hit the poor thing. It was really neat and I was mad I didn't have time to take a picture. Had there been no other cars I would have gotten out. Paisley was asleep too so I was sad she didn't get to see it.
