Paisley is growing so fast. It's so fun but it makes me so sad to see her get so big. She keeps us laughing every day and it's my favorite thing to lie in bed with Doug and talk and laugh about all the funny things she had done that day. Here are a few things she's done lately....
*I was pointing to a picture and she was naming who was in it and instead of saying Paisley like most kids do when they refer to themselves she actually said, "me!" I was shocked.
*I'm trying to work on the whole potty training thing and so when she goes I try to throw a fit and make it a big deal so she can see that it's a good thing. Now when she see's me go she yells, "Good job mommy!"
*She got a leap pad for Christmas and sometimes she needs help going through a maze or doing a complicated puzzle. After I complete it she hugs me and with a big smile she says, "Yay, You did it!" It's my favorite thing in the whole world.
*Whenever she does something great I excitedly say, "Good job Paisley" and she'll respond excited too by saying, "You're Welcome!" It's soooo funny! I love that whenever I thank her for something she is so happy to say Your welcome as well. Such a fun mother moment!
*Her little Potty Training toilet sings a little song and says, "Yay!" when it senses warmth or liquid or pressure- like when she goes potty. Well, one night Doug was getting her to bed and I was in the bath and he told me that for some reason the toilet kept going off. She told Doug to listen and when it was done singing she yelled, "Yay! Mommy did it!" We have laughed over this one!
*Whenever we brush her "buggies" at night she'll constantly pull the brush out of her mouth every 5 seconds and point with her finger and say, "Be Tareful- Be Tareful!"
*When we are in the bathtub sometimes her hand or her foot will touch my bum and she'll say, "Oh sorry mom- touch your bum!" Like whoops, it was an accident. Hahaha!
*Paisley will be 3 in 2 1/2 months and she can already identify each letter in the alphabet {mostly the capital letters. We are still working on the lower case} and she can say all their sounds.
*When we walk into Hobby Lobby she will point at the big letter head store sign and say all the letters backwards. Y-B-B-O-L Y-B-B-O-H! It makes me so proud.
*Paisley and I were driving and not even headed to Hobby Lobby. I didn't even say the words but she saw the sign and said, "Lobby Lobby Mom?" I told her we weren't going there and she got sad, "I want ta go to Lobby Lobby Mom!" It's because she always gets a treat there.
*When we were eating dinner she held up her cup and said, "CHEERS!" then told me to grab my cup. She does this a lot now even if it's her bowl of cereal. :)
*Lately she has been acting like a kitty cat or a puppy dog. She will crawl around and tell me to hold her. She'll say, "I'm just a kitty cat!" Whenever I need her to do something like hug me or put on her diaper I'll say, "Come here kitty cat" and she'll actually come. It's quite nice when I need to lotion her up and put on her diaper and do her hair after the bath. It sure beats fighting her for it. I'll ask her a question and she'll respond like a kitty cat and say, "Yeah!" in the tone of "meow!" It's hilarious!
*Paisley was telling Kari and Robert that a kitty cat says, "Meow" and Robert said, "ROAR!" Paisley said no and while turning her finger in a circle 2 times tried to teach him to say, "Meow-Meow!"
*Just this morning Doug had 5 minutes before he had to go to school so he asked if he could hold her. I so bad wanted her to stay asleep but how can I deny him his dream. Sure enough I let him so he kissed her little face and she woke up, put her arms around him and kissed him and then closed her eyes again. He picked her up and she rested on his shoulders. It was so sweet.
