Aunt Kari comes to town!

My brother Bron took a week of work to hit a cruise with his wife and her family......so....Kari {means she works for the big bad wolf} got a week of herself. She headed our way. We just got back from Washington D.C. the night before. She flew in to Fort Lauderdale, Monday the 28th of January at 6:00 am. I didn't however pick her up until around 10:00. We woke up, took Doug to school and hit the road to get her. The drive was about 1 1/2 but we finally got there. Paisley and I were ecstatic to see her. When we got back we let her rest because the poor girl was so tired after a night of traveling. When she woke up we just did some grocery shopping for the week, made dinner, and lounged while we watched The Bachelor.

Day 2: 

We woke up and headed to the Beach! I took her to Lowdermilk because it's one of my favorites. I had to show her some of the houses down here too. They are unbelievable. She wanted to tell people this is where she was staying.

 Paisley didn't want me to help her get water. She only wanted Aunt Kari! :)

 Sam, Baya and Ever met us there and the girls had so much fun playing and rolling in the sand!

  Kari couldn't believe this place. She kept ranting and raving how nobody would believe where she was vacationing right now and after talking and talking about it she said she to me "You're not enjoying yourself!" I looked at her and we started laughing because it was clearly her who couldn't just relax and take it all in. She was so worried about people seeing this that she couldn't enjoy the moment! We laughed all week long!

After the beach we hit the mall and then took a stroll down the pier and watched the sunset! A must see for visitors!

 It was nice to sit and watch Paisley play as we ate pretzel bites and yogurt. Paisley would take a bite and then run and play and then come back again. :)

 Day 3: We went to the beach again. This time I took her to Clam Pass because it has a little restaurant on the dock and you ride a large golf cart back to the beach. It's another fun thing visitors need to do. {I did hit the driver in the head with my beach chair! Whoops!} It was a fun beach day except for the older man trying to get Kari's number and praying in the ocean so we could see how spiritual he was! :P

 We were feeding the birds some pringles and Paisley was loving life! She kept trying to get our more pringles! Haha!

 I can't really break down the days anymore. We took a trip to Fort Myers and went to Hobby Lobby! I bought $1 decoration but other than that we bought candy! When we left the store we pretty much took a big circle walking in the parking lot until we got to our car. We were side tracked laughing. It was like we were drunk only without the alcohol. Just a natural high I guess! What a trip! We did manage to get the lizard out of my car that had been hiding in there with us for a few days!

We had the best time and I was so sad when she had to leave Friday night! Not to mention the whole day was craps! Car problems, Doug's earache and Kari leaving so we had to drive to Fort Lauderdale to take her to the airport. I hated seeing her go and it is always so hard to say goodbye. I can't wait until she comes back. She is the bestest friend I could ask for! :)
