Doctors Appointment

We moved out here in August and Paisley was due for another checkup/shots/whatever! Well, after getting insurance taken care of out here, along with finding a good doctor....it was all way past due. I asked some people in my ward and they said they said they see Dr. Needle. {What a name for a pediatrician huh?} I scheduled an appointment and they didn't have an opening until today. I ended up calling back withing a few days and getting her in on a last minute notice because she was so sick but it was strictly for that- no check up. So mean while we went home for 3 weeks to Utah for Christmas Break, came back and today was the day. We went in to see Dr. Needle who is fabulous. I told Doug about how sweet he is and how he sits on his foot on his stool as he types. What a little kid himself right?! Perfect for a pediatrician. He is fabulous and I couldn't have asked for better! Anyways, Paisley has a hard time when I have to set her down to be weighed or so they can get her measurements. When the Doctor touches her she cries and gets so scared. She is so tender-hearted {like her momma} and it is so sad to see her cry. The Doctor asked if she can say at least 10 words but being put on the spot like that I couldn't really say what. I did explain how she just points and groans but can repeat some words I say. She says a few on her own but.....I don't know. She can say Mom, Daddy, ice, eyes, thank you, peek-a-boo {which sounds like leedaloo}, hi, no, Baya {her friends name}, uh-oh, doggie and maybe a couple others I can't think of right now but she tries to repeat other words I say like banana {nan} and bathtub {which resembles a little but not a lot}. He said it wouldn't be a bad idea to get her in to see a speech therapist. Hahaha! Doug and I had a good time with that one. The doctor laughed and said, "it looks like she does pretty well with that though" as she sits on the chair with my iphone. Ya ya ya it's true! She was also sucking on a binki when he came in. I explained she doesn't normally but found it in our drawer yesterday and goes through small playful phases with them unitl I hide them again. I think he was relieved when I explained that! :)

Weight: 26 lbs. 13 oz.
Height:   34 inches.
Head Circumference:   18 1/2

She got two shots. One was the second part of a hepatitis shot and the other was the flu shot. She did pretty well but once the second leg was poked the tears came streaming down. When we left the Doctors office she got a sticker and a teddy bear. She was a pretty happy girl. Once I changed her diaper and laid her down for a nap she saw her band aids and took them off already.
