What a day! 29 years old and growing. The thought is kinda scary when I think about turning 30 in a year. I was never one who thought age would affect me but for some reason it does. I look at people my age and older and still think they are very young but when I put an age number to me it strikes a chord. Woah!
We headed up on the mountain the night before and spent the night with Buck and my Dad in the trailer. The morning of my birthday Dad took off on the little pack mule of his aka the razor or rhino or whatever and Buck and Doug took off hiking and hunting. Doug came back early thank heavens because I was bored and bored quick. We ate some breakfast, built a fire, went for a ride on my dad's mule and visited with Uncle Larry and my dad's old friend. Paisley had so much fun and her little crack showed the whole time. We took off for Delta that afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend there. We were going to shower and go to dinner but I was too tired so we decided to post pone it and we just relaxed. The day before my birthday before we took off for the mountain, Doug couldn't wait any longer and gave me my birthday gift. He already gave me money for my New Mexico trip along with the flight ticket so this was a very generous birthday. He is always very generous for my birthday and always does a more than fabulous job. I was ecstatic to find and open this..............the pewter I had been wanting. When w went to Old Town Imports a while ago we didn't see the punch bowl my sister Dani had that I'd been wanting but saw the symphony bowl and liked it so Doug surprised me with it and picked out the 3 tier tray on his own. Love it! However, I ended up asking if they still sold the classic punch bowl and they said they were waiting for an order so they put my name on the waiting list and when they came in I traded the bowl. I still love the symphony but my heart has to have the classic. It's priceless!
